Dr Evelien van Amerongen is a biological holistic dentist in Castlebar, Co Mayo practicing as a mercury free dentist since 1988. She founded the ISHSKO Dental Practice in 2008 in Westport.
The dental clinic and practice relocated to Castlebar, Co Mayo in June 2017.
Important Notice: Temporary Suspension of Appointments

Dear Valued Patient,
We regret to inform you that, due to unforeseen urgent private family matters, Dr Evelien van Amerongen of the Ishsko Dental Practice , had to travel abroad and for that reason had to make the difficult decision to temporarily suspend all appointments for several weeks during June and July, starting from Monday, 8th June 2026.
We understand that this may cause inconvenience, and we sincerely apologise for any disruption this may cause to your dental care. Please be assured that this temporary closure is unavoidable and we will endeavour to resume normal services at the earliest possible opportunity.
Our Practice Manager, Sharon, will personally contact all patients who have existing or pending appointments during this period to discuss rescheduling or any urgent care needs. As soon as the practice can resume, appointments will be made available.
If you have any immediate concerns or require emergency dental treatment during the suspension period, please contact us on 09490 22468 and we will advise you of the most appropriate arrangements.
